7- Seater Kia Carens: On the Indian market, Kia India has released a new version of the Carens. A new Luxury (O) version of the Carens is now available, with prices starting at Rs 17 lakh to Rs 17.7 lakh. Kia just put out a new version of the Carens with engines that meet RDE standards.
The new Kia Carens is in between the Luxury and Luxury Plus trim levels. It has more features than the Luxury version, like a sunroof and lighting that changes in different ways. Depending on which drive mode you choose, the light around you changes. The Luxury (O) trim is only available as a 7-seater. The Luxury trim, on the other hand, is available as a 6-seater.
The new version also doesn’t have paddle shifters, ventilated seats, or a Bose 8-speaker sound system. There are airbags for both the driver and the passenger, as well as curtain airbags. The car also has ABS, ESC, and a feature that helps it start on a hill. All four wheels can come with disc brakes. The Carens also has crystal-cut alloy wheels that are 16 inches in diameter, and each of the seven seats has a three-point safety belt.
The new version also has a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel wrapped in leather. The trim also has cupholders in the front and second rows that keep drinks cool. Four speakers, two tweeters, and five USB Type-C chargers are among the other features.
Kia updated the Carens recently
The engine and transmission choices for the Kia MPV Carens have been changed. Kia has updated the 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engines and replaced the 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine with a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine that is bigger and more powerful. Kia didn’t say anything about these changes, but they were made anyway.
The updated Kia Carens has new options for powertrains and transmissions that go with them. Now, unlike before, the 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine can be paired with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. With this engine, there is no way to get a manual transmission. The new turbo-petrol engine is said to have a maximum power output of 160 PS. This is 20 PS more than the old 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine.
The 1.5-liter diesel engine no longer comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. Instead, the engine can now be paired with either a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed automatic transmission. This gives it a maximum power output of 116 PS, which is just 1 PS more than the last model. On the other hand, the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine in the two base-level models is still only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine still has 115 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque at its most powerful.
