Next gen Duster: In recent years, there have been a lot of rumors that Renault’s popular Duster name would come back in the form of the Bigster SUV concept that the company showed off. Well, recent spy photos of the next-generation Duster show that the international model will be based on the Bigster concept and will be huge and have a strong presence on the road.

Recent spy photos from Australia show the SUV being tested with full-body camouflage, which hides the SUV’s details. But it’s easy to see that the model being tested is the same as the Bigster concept. The SUV looks strong from the front, sides, and back, and it has the perfect size and shape for an SUV.

Recent spy photos show that the front of the Duster will look like the front of the Bigster. This includes the new Dacia logo, air intakes on each side of the front bumper, and narrow LED daytime running lights. The extensions of the wheel-arch are also the same. Under the black and white camouflage, the car seems to have LED tail lights that look a lot like the ones on the concept car.

The only difference between the Duster and Bigster concepts was the door handles. This prototype was seen with regular door handles on the driver’s side and passenger side of the front doors, not flush handles. On the C-pillar, though, you can still see the door handles for the back doors. People think that the third-generation Duster will also have a bigger and more spacious interior.

Just a few days ago, it was said that Renault wants to bring back the Duster in India. For our country, it will be based on the new CMF-B platform from Renault-Nissan. It was also said that Renault is planning to spend more than Rs 4,000 crore in India to launch the new CMF-B platform. This would make it possible for other new cars, like the next generation of the Duster, to come out. Now, there are rumors that the midsize SUV that has been talked about for a long time will come out between 2024 and 2025.

When the first generation of the Duster came out in India in 2012, it was a big turning point for the company. If the Renault Duster does show up there again, it could be very good for the French company. The company’s previous products in India, the Koleos SUV and the Fluence sedan, were more luxury cars that were sold in small numbers through the CKD process. The Duster, on the other hand, was the first product the company made for the mass market in that country. The Duster was the first midsize SUV to have a monocoque design. This created a whole new market segment that SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos later dominated.

The Duster was also the first car to be built on Renault’s B0 platform. This platform was used to build the Lodgy, Captur, Duster, Terrano, and Kicks, all of which were made by Renault. This platform will be replaced by the CMF-B platform, which will be ready soon.
