The same is available for pre-order now for a nominal fee of Rs 11,000 and will be released soon. In the sub-4-meter compact SUV market, where the Fronx will compete, there is plenty of competition. With a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 98.6 horsepower, the forthcoming Maruti Suzuki Fronx will be available with a 5-speed manual transmission (MT) and a 6-speed automatic transmission (AT). A 1.2-liter gasoline engine with 88.5 horsepower will be available, paired with either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission.

The Tata Nexon is offered with an option between a gasoline and diesel engine. It has a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission combined with either a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (118 bhp) or a 1.2-liter diesel engine (108 bhp).

A 1.5-liter K15C normally aspirated gasoline engine produces 101.6 horsepower and drives the front wheels of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The engine can be paired with either the 5-speed manual or 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.

The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, normally aspirated petrol engine that produces 85 horsepower and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and an automatic transmission (AMT). Compressed natural gas (CNG) will soon be an available option.

There is a mechanical connection between the Hyundai Venue and the Kia Sonet. Each SUV is powered by either a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission (MT), a 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine mated to a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT) and a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT), or a 1.5-liter diesel engine mated to a 6-speed MT. A six-speed automatic transmission (AT) is available with the diesel engine in the Sonet.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx pricing will most likely be announced in April. You can anticipate an ex-showroom price tag of between Rs 7.50 lakh and Rs 12 lakh. The other sub-compact SUVs’ ex-showroom costs are shown above as well. The Tata Punch is the least expensive SUV on our list, but the top-of-the-line Brezza, Sonet, and Nexon all cost more than Rs 14 lakh (about $20,000).
