Mahindra Thar 5 door: The Mahindra Thar is the most popular lifestyle off-road vehicle in the country right now. But one of its biggest competitors, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny five-door, will soon hit the market and take a piece of the market share. The Jimny’s best feature is that it has four doors, and Mahindra, which makes the most utility vehicles in the country, plans to make the Thar with five doors. There have been many sightings of test mules for the five-door Thar in the country, and recently, more spy photos of this soon-to-be-launched SUV have been posted online.
The car has been spotted in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, and the latest spy photos show the five-door Mahindra Thar from a few different angles. The first photo shows the left front three-quarters of the SUV. From this angle, we can see that it will be much longer than the two-door Thar that is being replaced. The middle of the SUV will get two more doors. At the moment, we don’t know the exact measurements of the SUV, but some sources say it will be about 22 percent longer than the two-door Thar.
The spy shots also show the side profile and back end of the car. We can see that the SUV will probably look just like the two-door Thar and will probably have the same front and back ends. The only thing that will be different on the outside will be the new alloy wheels. From a previous close-up tour of the car, it was clear that the new two doors will have something special about them. The last video showed that the door handles on the middle doors of the new five-door Thar will be placed vertically on the pillar, like on the Maruti Suzuki Swift, instead of horizontally like they are now.
The previous walkaround video of the Thar 5 door also showed the inside of the car. The dashboard of the five-door Thar didn’t seem to have changed much since then. The infotainment screen, controls for the air conditioning system, steering wheel, and seats all looked the same as they did in the two-door Thar that was being replaced. The roof of the new five-door Thar, on the other hand, was made of soft materials and looked a lot more like the roofs of regular passenger cars. The roof also had a place to put sun glasses and dome lights. There were also no speakers on the roof. The video also showed the back of the car, which had enough legroom for the people sitting in the back.
Sources say that it will have the same 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline and 2.2-liter diesel engines as the Thar 3-door. Both of these engines will be available with either a manual or an automatic transmission. Also, spy photos from before showed that there will be a 4X2 option in addition to the standard 4X4. As for when the new Thar with five doors will come out, it is likely that it will be on the market around June 2023. The Thar five-door is likely to be priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 15 lakh when it comes out.
