2023 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Vs Hyundai Aura Facelift: What’s Better For You?
- 2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift launched
- Introduces segment-first features
- Directly rivals the Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Hyundai just released the Grand i10 NIOS refresh, so we may expect the sedan version to follow suit. Ex-showroom prices for the newly updated Hyundai Aura 2023 begin at Rs. 6.29 lakh. The updated model, like the i10 NIOS, is packed to the gills with cutting-edge new capabilities. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is a powerhouse in the compact sedan sector, but the Tata Tigor is a worthy rival.
But in this section, we’ll compare it against the Dzire so you can make an educated choice.

Dimensions
The car’s size is the first thing that stands out when making a comparison. For legal and financial reasons, the cars have the identical length of 3,995 millimetres. The Dzire is 5 mm shorter in height than the Aura, but it’s wider. Although the difference is barely perceptible, it is technically shorter when numbers are compared.

Engine
The Hyundai Aura is driven by a 1.2-liter Kappa gasoline engine producing 83 PS and 114 Nm of peak torque, paired with a choice of 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. In addition, a CNG version of the same engine is standard on every Aura and produces 69 PS and 95 Nm of torque. Only 5-speed manual transmissions are available for CNG vehicles.
A 1.2-liter gasoline engine is available for the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The maximum torque of this Dualjet engine is 113 Nm, and it generates 90 PS of power. The CNG version has the same engine as the standard model but generates 78 PS and 98.5 Nm of torque.

Features
After a redesign in 2023, the Hyundai Aura has become a well equipped vehicle, with many industry firsts being included for the first time in this model year. It has six airbags, a wireless charging system, a TPMS, an 8-inch screen for entertainment, and information, and a TPMS. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire, however, lacks these features.
In other respects, though, the Dzire excels over the Hyundai Aura 2023. Unlike the Dzire, which comes standard with Maruti’s linked technology, the Aura lacks even basic safety features like fog lights. True, not even the highest-end version of the refreshed Aura has fog lights standard. For your convenience, I have detailed the relevant features below.

Safety
In this respect, Aura outshines Dzire. All trims of the Aura come standard with 4 airbags, ABS, and EBD, while the top-tier model has a 6-airbag system. Two airbags are standard on all Maruti Suzuki Dzire models, including the top-tier SZ5 model. The date for the obligatory 6-Airbag setup is October 2023, thus the Dzire needs to work on this before then.
