From Canvas to Road: Pininfarina Pura Vision Paints a Luxurious Tale
Pininfarina has revealed the Pura Vision concept, an electric Luxury Utility Vehicle (e-LUV), through official images. The concept will make its debut at the Monterey Car Week in August, alongside the recently revealed Battista Edizione Nino Farina Hyper GT and another production-spec vehicle.
The Pura Vision concept exhibits an unmistakable and captivating presence, setting it apart from the current crop of luxury SUVs. Even in its concept phase, the vehicle’s striking design appears like a work of art from every angle. Its dynamic identity is accentuated by a narrow glass house and wide wheel track, while the body panels around the chassis are engineered for efficient airflow.
With a rich heritage of 94 years in car design, Pininfarina showcases its expertise with the Pura Vision concept. The roof of the vehicle is predominantly glass, extending almost to the rear in a seamless, single-piece fashion. The front fascia boasts a wide appeal with distinctive nano-fibre LED strands, each less than 1mm in size. The window line adopts a super-aggressive approach, combining sharp lines with swooping curvaceous panels.

The Monterey Car Week debut is set to unveil this masterpiece to the world, further igniting interest and excitement in the automotive community.
Pininfarina’s Tri-Opening Lounge Doors: A Nod to the Past, a Leap to the Future
The Pininfarina Pura Vision exudes understated aggression with its flared wheel arches and wide haunches. The futuristic appeal is enhanced by the small windows, adding to its unique character. One of the standout features of this car is its doors, which are divided into three parts, known as the tri-opening Lounge Doors. The design inspiration for these doors was drawn from the Lancia Florida Sedan, a creation of Pininfarina’s founder, Battista Farina. The base doors open horizontally with a rear suicide door type, while the top part opens like a gullwing door.
The interior of the Pura Vision is designed to be exquisite and opulent, following a 2+2 seating arrangement. Pininfarina has achieved a perfect balance between symmetry and boldness, creating a harmonious and inviting space for passengers.
In terms of dimensions, the Pininfarina Pura Vision e-LUV measures 5,215 mm in length, 2,147 mm in width (including ORVMs), and stands at 1,641 mm tall. The 23″ wheels not only look dapper but also add a lot of appeal to the overall design. The chassis is constructed using carbon fiber monocoque, and the interesting pillar designs are expected to contribute to sporty handling.
Overall, the Pininfarina Pura Vision concept embodies a perfect blend of elegant design, advanced technology, and luxurious comfort, making it a true symbol of electric luxury utility in the automotive world.
