Kia Seltos Facelift: In 2019, Kia introduced the Seltos, a popular compact SUV, to the Indian market. The Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) gave the Kia Seltos a perfect score of five stars for its crashworthiness. All models manufactured after October 2019 are included in the rating. The Seltos scored well in the ANCAP’s frontal offset test, earning acclaim for its ability to keep driver and passenger heads, chests, and lower legs safe. In addition, it was mentioned that the Seltos is equipped with reliable standard autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and lane keep assist (LKA).
Kia Seltos Facelift Model Global NCAP Crash Test Ratings
As part of its #SaferCarsForIndia initiative, the Global NCAP has also evaluated the Kia Seltos. Based on how well a vehicle does in the frontal offset test, the Global NCAP assigns it an overall occupant protection grade between one and five stars.
The Kia Seltos was rated at three stars for the protection of adult passengers and two stars for the protection of young passengers. The tiny SUV’s body shell was deemed unstable. The driver’s feet and legs appeared to have been hurt by the shaky footrest. The Global NCAP also noted that not all seats were equipped with three-point seat belts, and that there were no ISOFIX anchors for infant car seats.
