Hyundai Aura facelift: price and rivals
To get your hands on the updated Aura, you can expect to pay between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh. It will compete with cars like the Tata Tigor (Rs. 6.10–8.84 Lakh), the Honda Amaze (Rs. 6.89–9.48 Lakh), and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire (Rs. 6.24–9.18 Lakh). (All prices are ‘ex-showroom, India’).
Hyundai Aura facelift: new features
The updated Aura will be superior to the previous generation in many ways. It now comes with four airbags, anti-lock brakes, and electronic brake distribution (ABS/EBD), with an additional two airbags, electronic stability control, and hill start aid available as upgrades.
The Aura also features front and back row footwell illumination and adjustable head restraints. Two new analogue gauges for the speedometer and tachometer and a brand new 3.5-inch MID with a tyre pressure monitoring system are part of the updated instrument cluster (TPMS).
The Starry Night colour seen on the Verna, i20, Alcazar, and Tucson has replaced the Vintage Brown option. The Aura still features the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility, as well as automatic climate control, rear air vents, and a wireless charger.
Hyundai Aura facelift: powertrains
The Aura retains the 83-horsepower, 113.8-Nm-of-torque 1.2-litre gasoline engine first seen in the outgoing model. In addition to its 69 horsepower and 95.2 Nm of torque, this engine is equipped with a compressed natural gas (CNG) package. Both the diesel and the petrol models come standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, however, the petrol model also has access to an automatic transmission. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 100 horsepower and 172 Newton meters of torque is not available on the updated model at this time.
