2023 Hyundai Alcazar Facelift Spied, Specs and Features
The Hyundai Alcazar is an expanded version of the South Korean automaker’s best-selling Creta model, and the recent facelift appears to have had a minimal impact on the vehicle’s outward design. According to the sales graphs, Alcazar is doing reasonably well. Is it as well-liked as the Mahindra XUV700 or the brand-new Scorpio N? In a word, no.
Alcazar is the smallest product in this market, dwarfing competitors like the XUV700, Scorpio N, and Safari. Along with being the weakest in power and torque, its diesel engine is also the tiniest. It has a big 2.0L engine, but its 200 horsepower can’t beat the XUV700 or the Scorpio N. But now Hyundai appears to be providing a minor refresh to stay competitive.
2023 Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
A casual observer would mistake Alcazar for merely a Cretan with a longer vocabulary. The truth is that it is precisely that. It doesn’t have the same kind of massive power as competing products in this space. Although Alcazar has a high-end reputation, it falls short on luxury touches like soft-touch plastics inside. It stands to reason that if Tata can provide relatively pliable plastics on the Vista in 2008, then we can assume that vehicles costing four times as much will also provide such features.
The updated 2023 Hyundai Alcazar was seen during road testing in South Korea without any disguises. If you only took a quick look, you wouldn’t be able to tell that this isn’t the same Alcazar that’s on sale right now. Slight adjustments had been made to its façade, though, and the spy photos didn’t show the inside.
First of all, it has a distinctive grille that sets it apart. Huge grilles and constant growth are now standard features on all Hyundai vehicles. The grille on a Hyundai, however, has shrunk, which may be the first time in a long time that this has happened. It’s not physically smaller, but that’s fine. The opening of the grille has not changed, however the chromed portion has diminished.
In the past, the whole grille was outlined in chrome at the bottom. However, this redesign features a split grille that gives the impression that the opening is narrower than it actually is. Horizontal chrome studs are added for style to the discounted Alcazar. But now there are new, chunkier ones that look like the grille at Venue.
