Hyundai’s Creta, Venue, and i20 Lead Sales Growth in July

In July 2023, Hyundai Motor India reported a noteworthy year-on-year and month-on-month growth in sales, reaching a total of 66,701 units. The company’s export figures also displayed significant improvement during the same period.

Hyundai Motor India boasts a diverse lineup of multiple cars, including popular models such as the Grand i10 Nios, i20, i20 N-Line, Aura, Exter, Venue, Venue N-Line, Verna, Creta, Alcazar, Tucson, Kona Electric, and IONIQ 5. The company’s performance in July 2023 was supported by timely deliveries of semiconductor supplies, enabling increased sales.

With the successful supply chain management and improved sales performance, Hyundai is now gearing up for the upcoming festive season, commencing with the Onam festival in Kerala from 20th August 2023. The festive season is a significant time for automobile manufacturers in India, and Hyundai is well-prepared to capitalize on the increased consumer demand during this period.

Hyundai Domestic sales and Exports Improve in July 2023

Hyundai’s sales figures for July 2023 show a notable increase in both domestic sales and exports. In the domestic market, Hyundai sold 50,701 units, representing a 0.40 percent year-on-year growth from the 50,500 units sold in July 2022. Month-on-month sales also saw a positive trend, with a 1.40 percent increase from the 50,001 units sold in June 2023.

The company’s export performance showed even stronger growth, with 16,000 units shipped in July 2023. This marked a remarkable 19.84 percent year-on-year increase from the 13,351 units shipped in July 2022, translating to a volume growth of 2,649 units. The combined effect of domestic and export sales resulted in a total of 66,701 units sold in July 2023, reflecting a 4.46 percent increase from the 63,851 units sold in July 2022, with a growth of 2,850 units.

Among the models contributing to Hyundai’s successful sales, the Hyundai Creta continued to lead, while the new Exter, Venue, and Verna also made significant contributions to the overall figures in the past month. Additionally, Hyundai has recently trademarked the new adventure editions of Creta and Alcazar. These models are expected to be available from the end of August or early September, likely in limited numbers, featuring Ranger Khaki exteriors and other off-road-centric features.

Hyundai Exter SUV to Spur Sales

In July 2023, Hyundai introduced the new Exter, a 5-seater SUV available in five main variants – EX, S, SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect. The Exter was launched with attractive introductory prices ranging from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This SUV stands out with its remarkable features, including several first-in-segment offerings like a voice-enabled Smart Electric Sunroof and a Dashcam equipped with Dual Camera functionality.

Safety is a priority in the Hyundai Exter, which comes with a comprehensive range of 26 standard safety features and an impressive 40 advanced safety features. These safety measures ensure an enhanced and secure driving experience for occupants.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Exter offers a choice of powertrain options. Customers can opt for a 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a Smart Auto AMT. Additionally, there is a 1.2-liter bi-fuel Kappa petrol engine with CNG option, coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission, catering to those looking for an eco-friendly alternative. The range of powertrains ensures a diverse selection to meet various driving preferences and needs.
