The Crosstrek’s chassis doesn’t draw inspiration from Subaru’s WRX sports sedan. Instead, it embodies a soft and comfortable ride characteristic of a crossover. While its cornering abilities likely surpass the needs of its target audience, it doesn’t deliver the same level of driving excitement as the Mazda CX-30 or the Volkswagen Taos. However, the Crosstrek is well-equipped for off-road adventures, outperforming those crossovers in that regard. With a minimum ground clearance of 8.7 inches, it includes features like hill-descent control and hill-start assist. The Wilderness trim takes it a step further, offering 9.3 inches of ground clearance and more aggressive all-terrain tires.
