Honda Elevate to be launched in India in coming months

Honda Cars India is expected to launch the Elevate midsize SUV in India in the coming months. The SUV will be positioned in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment and will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.

Elevate to be based on the City platform

The Elevate will be based on the same platform as the fifth-generation Honda City. The SUV will be powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

Elevate to offer a host of features

The Elevate will offer a host of features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a single-pane sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, ADAS-based driver-assistive and safety technologies, automatic climate control, and a 360-degree camera system.

Elevate to be priced competitively

Honda is expected to price the Elevate competitively. The SUV is expected to start at around Rs. 10.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
