This morning, Maruti Suzuki introduced the Alto K10 S-CNG, a compressed natural gas (CNG) version of its best-selling entry-level hatchback. The base price of this recently introduced vehicle in India is Rs 5,94,500, and it is only available in VXI trim (ex-showroom, Delhi). Since the base price of an Alto K10 VXI is Rs 4,99,000, the newly introduced compact hatchback is Rs 95,400 more expensive (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 CNG specifications
The precise dimensions of the Alto K10 CNG are as follows: 3530 mm in length, 1490 mm in width, and 1520 mm in height. It has a 2380mm wheelbase. According to the manufacturer, the new hatchback’s fuel economy is 33.85 Km/kg thanks to its next-generation K series 1.0L Dual Jet, Dual VVT (petrol + CNG) engine.
Maximum power from this motor is 48Kw at 5500 rpm when running on gasoline and 41.7kw at 5300 rpm when using compressed natural gas. At 3500 rpm in petrol mode and 3400 rpm in CNG mode, peak torque of 89 Nm and 82.1 Nm, respectively, are produced. The car has a combined fuel capacity of 27 litres of gasoline or 55 litres of compressed natural gas (the water equivalent).
The suspension of the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 CNG consists of Mac Pherson Strut up front and a torsion beam and coil springs in the back. The transmission is a 5-speed manual. The front wheels are equipped with disc brakes, while the back wheels have drum brakes.
