The diesel model is advertised as having a fuel economy of 15.5kmpl and a range of 930km on a single tank of gas.

The Safari has a single option of a 2.0-litre turbo diesel with 170 horsepower, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque convertor transmission. Supposedly, this front-wheel-drive SUV can travel up to 700 kilometres on a single tank of gas. A 2.2-litre turbo diesel producing 200 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic in the Carnival. This large MPV gets 13.9kmpl on the highway and can travel 834 kilometres on a single tank of gas.
