Appearance Exterior
What you see in the first picture is the usual 5-seat mode, without the last two seats, which is what Renault is promoting.
In the second image, the surf mode has been switched to two seats so that a surfboard can be stored in the trunk. Is surfing well-liked in India? I think they should change the term to something more descriptive, like “cycling mode.” And this is the seven-seat configuration with all the bells and whistles. Honestly, this isn’t a great seven-seater, so consider it a five-seater with two in the back for those who decide to join you at the last minute.
Put in your boot
The triber’s cargo capacity is 625 litres while just 5 seats are in use, however, it drops to a barely usable 84 litres when all 7 seats are in place. In terms of aesthetics, you get a pretty modern-looking dashboard that uses two different colours.
Renault’s reputation for producing functional vehicles continues with the Triber. There are lots of storage spaces, including two glove compartments and door pockets large enough to accommodate two 500 ml bottles. In addition to the standard safety features of a Lexus, the RXZ adds a second set of front airbags, a cooled glove box, the second set of rear air vents, a button start with keyless entry, and a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto on an 8.0-inch display Windows that roll up and down automatically are another great convenience.

Performance Drive
The Triber is powered by a naturally aspirated gasoline engine that is even smaller than the car itself, measuring just 1.0 litres. It will be available with either a standard manual transmission or an automatic manual transmission with five speeds by the end of the year. But the question is whether or not it can support a load of seven people. Okay, the answer is sort of yes and kind of no to that. The 71 horsepower and 96 Nm produced by the three-cylinder 1.0-litre engine are sufficient for city driving but fall short on the interstate.
Planning is required for passing, and revving the engine past 4000 rpm serves little use other than to make it scream its lungs out. Because the Triber does not appreciate being rushed, the gearshifts are also notchy. The lack of forced induction slows it down, so we hope that they add it soon. Renault is good at making vehicles that ride and handle well. When driving over rough terrain, the Triber is quite forgiving thanks to its optimal damping. Even though we didn’t get to properly test its limits, we have faith that it will deliver. At higher speeds, the steering feels great and isn’t too heavy at lower speeds.

Conclusion
The base price of a Triber is 4.95 lakhs, with the RXZ trim we tested costing 6.49 lakhs. So, you can obtain a 5+2 seat car for the same price as a fully-loaded Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. The Triber is attractive to look at, has many useful features, and can carry as many as seven people. Perhaps it might benefit from a little more muscle, but at this price, it’s sure to find plenty of takers.
