The Harrier, an SUV designed to compete in India’s crowded and competitive SUV market, was introduced by Tata Motors on January 23. The widely expected SUV has been given an aggressive price tag, beginning at Rs. 12.69 lakhs for the XE trim level and going all the way up to Rs. 16.25 lakhs for the XZ model with the highest level of equipment (ex-showroom). There is only one engine-gearbox combination available for purchasers of the Harrier, and it is a 2.0-liter diesel engine that produces 140 horsepower and is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission.

On the other hand, a model with seven seats and an automatic transmission will be available later on in this year. The Harrier is well-equipped as standard with equipment such as dual airbags, ABS, projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, power-adjustable wing mirrors, a 4-inch MID, and rear AC vents. Other standard features include a power-adjustable steering wheel and rear AC vents.

The Tata Harrier has been made available for purchase in India. It will have to compete with established brands such as the Hyundai Creta, the Renault Captur, the Nissan Kicks, the Jeep Compass, and the Mahindra XUV500 if it joins this extremely competitive market sector.

It is available in four different versions: XE, XM, XT, and XZ, and it has an aggressive price range that starts at Rs.12.69 lakhs for the most basic version and goes up to Rs.16.25 for the most advanced model, which is lower than the prices of most of its rivals.
