Honda presented its Performance Excellence Award for Origin Rail to CSX operations at Marysville, Ohio, and for Destination Railhead East to CSX and TDSI at Tampa, Florida.

These awards were given based on a variety of performance factors, including the prevention of damage and the availability of railcars, as well as customer satisfaction and audit scores.

Maryclare Kenney, vice president of Intermodal and Automotive at CSX, stated that being recognised for service excellence by Honda, a company whose brand is synonymous with quality, is powerful validation of CSX’s customer-focused strategy to be North America’s best transportation partner.

The Marysville Auto Plant, which began operations in 1982 and currently has a capacity of 440,000 vehicles per year, is the largest vehicle production plant owned and operated by Honda in all of North America. CSX loads new vehicles onto railcars, which are then transported to various locations across the continent by the company.
