The MSRP for the 2021 Porsche Macan is $52,100, with an additional $1,350 for shipping and handling. The base price of a Porsche Macan S is $60,200, while the base price of a Macan GTS is $72,100. The top-tier 2021 Porsche Macan Turbo begins at $84,600. Still, a Porsche Macan Turbo with all the trimmings can easily cost over $100,000.

The Macan can accelerate to 60 miles per hour in under 5.0 seconds when equipped with the standard turbo four-cylinder engine. It’s lively around town, but true speed demons should go for the GTS or S model with its twin-turbo V-6 engine, which produces 434 horsepower and accelerates to 60 miles per hour in under 3.5 seconds in our testing.

The Macan S has a zero to sixty mph time of 3.8 seconds on our test track, putting it only a hair behind the more powerful GTS. Porsche’s Macan S and GTS models are noticeably quicker than the Audi SQ5 and Jaguar F-Pace S.

According to the EPA, the Macan base model with the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder gets 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. Both the S and GTS use the same twin-turbo 2.9-liter V-6, yet the S achieves 23 mpg on the interstate while the GTS only achieves 22 mpg. The Macan S improved upon its highway fuel economy number by 3 mpg on our real-world highway fuel-efficiency loop, which we drove at 75 mph.
