The Hornet will be a new model for Dodge, slotting in below the Durango in terms of size. This subcompact SUV will go up against vehicles like the Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-30, and Volkswagen Taos
The base price for the 2023 Dodge Hornet GT is $29,995 (not including destination), while the R/T starts at $39,995. In early 2023, Dodge will start making the Hornet.
Dodge claims that the plug-in hybrid R/T model’s 12.0-kWh battery pack can travel more than 30 miles on a single charge. A level 2 charger takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge a device.
Even though the EPA hasn’t yet released fuel economy estimates for either Hornet model, we anticipate the R/T PHEV to be the more frugal of the two. When we get a chance, we plan to cruise the highway at 75 miles per gallon in the Hornet.
