Citroen C5 Aircross Facelift Breaks Cover!

In 2022, a treasure trove of delights will be unlocked. Almost every automaker has a redesigned model poised to rock the industry in 2022. One such company that is primed for success is Citroen. As 2022 draws to a close, the French automaker Citroen has unveiled the updated C5 Aircross. The new car is a significant improvement in both form and function over its predecessor. To put it another way, the updates are like little bursts of modernism that make the automobile look powerful and up-to-date.

Design

It’s clear that the new C5 Aircross SUV was designed to stand out from the competition. The front no longer features dual headlights or daytime running lights. The daytime running lights are now a standard part of the headlight design. Redesigning the front bumper gave it a more aggressive appearance. The air intake at the vehicle’s base has been enlarged, and the vents beneath the headlights have been redesigned to be larger and more contoured. The thin front diffuser is accented with shiny chrome. Fog lights can be found on the diffuser at the very bottom of the bumper.

The two headlights are connected by a pair of light bars that run across the front of the vehicle. The Citroen logo is in the middle of an interrupted pattern created by these lights. The new logo is set against a black lacquer background with chrome trimmings. The side profile is reminiscent of the prior generation’s design. The narrow wheel wells and side skid plates remain, but now feature shiny chrome accents. The C-shaped chrome insert around the windows remains intact. The wheels, which are now 18 inches in diameter and diamond-cut alloy, represent a huge change. There is a similar design to the back, with the exception of modified taillights.

Interior

There are also significant alterations on the interior that we get to witness. A new infotainment system with a 10-inch screen is installed, with the air conditioning controls located beneath the panel. We have a computerised dashboard with touch-capacitive buttons for the climate control. A toggle switch on the dashboard takes the role of the traditional gear lever. There are new upholstery options available, including Alcantara and perforated leather, and the seats may be heated and massaged.

Performance

An electric version of the C5 Aircross is now on sale. The 1.6-liter PureTech 180 Turbo engine is paired with a 13.2-kilowatt-hour battery pack and electric motor. In terms of raw power, this thing can crank out 222 horse power. According to the manufacturer, the 2022 C5 Aircross can travel 55 kilometres solely on electric power.
