New 2022 Jeep Wrangler Pricing | Specs | More Details

The starting price of the 2022 Jeep Wrangler is $29,725.

The only reason not to buy a 2022 Jeep Wrangler is that you don’t know what it’s all about and you want a piece of the action. Among midsize SUVs, Jeep’s Wrangler is one of the best off-roaders in the world.

The Wrangler’s on-road shortcomings, however, may soon outweigh the novelty for those who simply want to appear adventurous. Off-road enthusiasts should only apply. At the very least, anyone who frequently requires a vehicle with a large amount of ground clearance.

2022 Jeep Wrangler Pricing

The Sport trim of the two-door 2022 Jeep Wrangler is the most affordable, with an MSRP of $29,275, which includes a destination charge.

There are four other trim levels in the Jeep lineup: Willys Sport S, Willys, and Rubicon — which costs $40,500 before additional options and accessories. With a few extras, that number could easily rise to $50,000.

Suddenly, the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler are vying for the top spot in the off-roading jungle after years of not having a direct SUV rival. There is a $29,000 price tag for the two-door model. The starting price of the Toyota 4Runner (more of a competitor to the 4-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited) is around $37K. The Land Rover Defender 90 starts at just under $48K if money isn’t an issue.

Driving The 2022 Jeep Wrangler

The jittery nature of an on-road ride is largely due to the vehicle’s short length and a short wheelbase. Because of its body-on-frame construction, this generation of Wrangler is still a “grin and bear it” experience to get to those beautiful off-road locations.

The high driving position, squared-off hood and body, generous ground clearance, and advantageous approach and departure angles all come into focus differently once the 2022 Jeep Wrangler leaves the tarmac behind. The Jeep Wrangler was made for adventures like these.

This is especially true of the Rubicon. An electrically controlled disconnecting front anti-roll bar, a higher ride height, and all-terrain tires are included in the specialized suspension. The Wrangler has always held an elevated status, regardless of whether it’s rock climbing, dune racing, or fording water up to 30 inches deep.

Interior Comfort

Hand-crank windows, front mats, cloth upholstery, and drain plugs make for a dreadful interior sound in any other situation. All of this, however, is music to the ears of an off-roader.

Muddy bootprints can be hosed off without harming the power-adjustable front seats or soaking the carpets, thanks to this feature. Because the doors are detachable, the switches for the power windows are positioned high in the center console.

Seats in the Rubicon will be covered in cloth unless the buyer specifies otherwise. The seats in the front are fine, but the two passengers in the back feel more like they’re sitting on a bench.

The cabin is also on the small side, limiting the amount of space on the shoulders. It’s better for two people and their luggage to ride in this 2-door Wrangler than it is for four people and their luggage. The rear legroom is good for toddlers, but less so for adults, especially when it comes to getting to it. When the rear seats are folded down, the cargo capacity drops to just 31.7 cubic feet.

Exterior Styling

No one could have predicted that the original Willys Jeep, designed by engineers rather than stylists, would still be attractive and relevant 80 years later. Because it was built to meet a specific need, it did so beautifully by prioritising function over form.

The Wrangler has two doors that can be removed, as well as a soft top with a sunroof that can be removed. With a rear wiper/washer/defroster, a 3-piece Freedom hardtop is available for all models and helps reduce road noise.

The Rubicon has BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres, protection rails for the sills, two vents in the hood, and a trim-specific hood decal to show off its off-road credentials.

Favorite Features

OFF-ROAD ABILITY
In the absence of a Wrangler, there is no other vehicle capable of the task at hand. As long as the vehicle in question isn’t a Sherman tank or similar. Heavy-duty steel bumpers for use with a winch are available as an option on the Rubicon. The Wrangler is an amazing vehicle because of features like this.
THE WRANGLER WAY OF LIFE
Jeep enthusiasts gather once a year in Moab, Utah, and there are many other locations across the United States where they can meet and caravan together. The camaraderie between the Toyota Camry and its owners is never the same.

Standard Features

There are few extras in the Sport’s base model. Making the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 2-door more affordable, it also provides a basic interior with few features that can be easily ruined, giving buyers the freedom to customize their vehicle with any of the many available aftermarket parts.

Tow hooks on the front and back, fog lights, manual windows/locks, side mirrors, and cloth upholstery are all included as standard equipment.

There isn’t a lot of optional safety equipment beyond what is required, such as airbags, stability/traction control, and a camera for backing up.

A 5-inch touchscreen, eight speakers, and a USB port are included in the in-car entertainment system.

The Sport S trim (about $2,000 more) comes standard with power locks/windows, tinted glass, keyless entry/ignition, air conditioning, an alarm, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It also qualifies you for more available features.

Factory Options

Autonomous all-wheel drive, a turbocharged engine, and automatic transmission are available on Sport trims. There’s also an off-road camera that looks forward (on every Wrangler variant).

Corning Gorilla Glass windshields are now available from the Sport S level onwards. Adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, a 552-watt/nine-speaker Alpine audio system, and rear parking sensors are also available at this point.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel, ambient lighting, a 115-volt outlet, and dual-zone automatic climate control are all included in the Rubicon. Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and off-road information pages are included in the upgraded infotainment system.

Leather seating surfaces are an option for this top-of-the-line trim.

Engine & Transmission

There’s nothing wrong with buying a new Jeep Wrangler and not bothering to look past the standard 3.6-liter V6. There are many Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler vehicles with this engine, which gives the Wrangler 2022 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

Unless you specify otherwise, a six-speed manual transmission is the standard setup. If you choose the automatic transmission with the mild hybrid system, you’ll get the best gas mileage out of this setup.

There is an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 295 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. When crawling over rocks, having a little extra oomph on hand is always helpful. The 8-speed automatic transmission is the only option for this engine.

Both engines take regular gasoline.
