One of India’s prominent car manufacturers, Tata Motors, is on the brink of unveiling highly anticipated facelifts for their iconic models, the Tata Safari and Nexon. Enthusiasts and brand loyalists are in for a treat as recent sightings of these camouflaged SUVs on the highway provide an exciting glimpse into the forthcoming enhancements. The growing anticipation has reached a climax, and recent sightings of the Tata Safari Facelift and Nexon Facelift undergoing comprehensive testing on the highway have given enthusiasts a tantalizing preview of what’s to come in the next few months. Despite the heavy camouflage, discernible and intriguing changes and upgrades have set the stage for a long-awaited unveiling.
The Safari Facelift, as revealed by these spy shots, presents a rejuvenated rear profile with redesigned bumpers and innovative connected LED taillights. While the side profile maintains a reminiscent quality of its predecessor, the inclusion of new alloy wheels signals a fresh aesthetic direction. The most captivating transformation is observed in the heavily revamped front profile, a design evolution that was teased by earlier spy images, hinting at a seamless fusion of modernity and sophistication.
Concurrently, the recent test mule of the Nexon Facelift offers a sneak peek into its revitalized appearance, characterized by significant cosmetic updates. The rear profile showcases redesigned elements, while the front end showcases distinctive changes that reignite the SUV’s charismatic allure.
Furthermore, prior glimpses into the Safari Facelift’s cabin suggest an array of exciting changes. The upcoming Safari is poised to embrace a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated seats, all of which promise a luxurious driving experience. Addressing Tata’s paramount concern for safety, the new Safari will feature six airbags, ESC, hill hold assist, and advanced driver assistance systems. Reports indicate that the upcoming Safari will also introduce an advanced iteration of Tata’s ADAS.
In the case of the Nexon Facelift, interior enhancements are expected to encompass a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, wireless phone charging, and ventilated front seats, enhancing overall comfort. Additionally, reports suggest that the new Nexon will boast a steering wheel reminiscent of the Avinya concept vehicle showcased at the Auto Expo, featuring a backlit display that elevates the Nexon’s interior aesthetics. In terms of safety features, the new Nexon facelift will also include six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and more.
With the Indian festive season on the horizon, Tata Motors is preparing to launch the Safari Facelift and Nexon Facelift, promising elevated quality and features. The Safari Facelift will retain its existing 2.0-liter diesel engine while introducing a new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine. This petrol powerplant generates an impressive 170PS of power and 280Nm of torque, delivering spirited performance on the road.
Conversely, the Nexon Facelift is likely to incorporate a revised 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, yielding a robust power output of 125PS and a peak torque of 225Nm. While this updated engine will continue to be paired with the current 6-speed manual transmission, the conventional 6-speed AMT is anticipated to make way for a new 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This enhancement is poised to elevate the Nexon’s driving dynamics, catering to the demands of contemporary urban lifestyles.
