Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition
Skoda’s midsize SUV Kushaq now comes in a limited version for the Indian market. The Onyx Edition is the official moniker. The firm has slotted this version in between the Active and Ambition Classic variations. Despite the fact that it costs 80 thousand more than the Active trim level. The business has maintained the ex-showroom price of Rs 12.39 lakh for this limited run.
LED projector headlights, fog lamps, wheel covers, a unique faux diffuser element, 16-inch steel wheels, striking body graphics on the doors, and ‘Onyx’ badging on the B-pillars all come standard on the new Onyx edition of the Kushaq. Roof rails, a rear washer, wiper, and defogger are also included.
Seats in the new Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition are upholstered in perforated leatherette with fabric inserts, and the front scuff plates are engraved with the model’s name. Furthermore, it has a Climatronic automatic air conditioner with a control touch panel and an air care feature.
An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, automatic climate control, remote locking, brake disc cleaning, steering mounted controls, rear AC vents, and an electronic differential lock system are just some of the amenities this vehicle offers. There are a variety of safety features on offer, including anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC), parking sensors in the back, and airbags.
The Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition is powered by either a manual or automatic transmission and a 1.0L, 3-cylinder TSI petrol engine. This motor generates 115 horsepower and 175 Newton-meters of torque. The SUV can also be equipped with a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder TSI petrol engine that produces 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. A 1.0-liter TSI is standard equipment on the Active trim. While only the top-tier Style grade offers both available engines. It comes with a basic 6-speed manual transmission and optional 6-speed torque converter automatic and 7-speed DSG transmission.
The car competes with the Hyundai Creta, which gets a 1.4L diesel and a 1.5L petrol engine option. It is currently the best selling car in the segment.
