Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce their next generation of electric vehicles, which includes the Altroz EV, Punch EV, and Curvv EV. Priced ex-showroom, we anticipate the Tata Motors Altroz EV to fall between Rs. 12.27 lakh and Rs. 14.40 lakh. We estimated these costs by comparing the sticker prices of the gasoline versions of the Nexon EV Prime, Nexon EV Max, Tiago EV, and Tigor EV.
The Tata Motors Altroz EV should come standard with a 28 kWh battery pack. Because of this, it will be an ideal middle option between the Tiago EV and the Nexon EV Prime. The Tiago EV offers a choice between a 19.2 kWh and a 24 kWh battery pack, while the Nexon offers a choice between a 30.2 kWh and a 40.5 kWh battery pack. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Tata Motors provide two battery options for the Altroz EV.
Features that may be available on the Altroz EV include a touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, semi-digital instrumentation, cruise control, 6 airbags, automatic climate control, drive modes, and regenerative braking with multiple levels.
At its introduction, the Altroz EV will be the sole electric hatchback of its kind. No other automaker has announced any plans to enter the Indian market with an electric premium hatchback.
