MARUTI SUZUKI ERTIGA EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR DESIGN
The exterior of the new Maruti Ertiga has been modernised significantly. The new MPV is larger in every dimension compared to its predecessor.
The front of the new Ertiga MPV has projector headlamps with LED DRLs, a freshly designed front grille with chrome elements, fog lamps and a stylish new front bumper. The side profile of the new Ertiga features character lines along the handlebars, 15-inch alloy wheels and a floating roofline, similar to that found on the Swift.
The back also has a revised appearance, with modifications to the bumper. The new design also has a wraparound set of taillights that are stacked vertically. Overall the new Maruti Ertiga feels more premium and upmarket than the previous-generation car.
MARUTI SUZUKI ERTIGA ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
The new Maruti Ertiga is offered with either a gasoline or diesel engine. Maruti’s SHVS (Smart Hybrid) technology is coupled with any engine choice.
The latest iteration of the Ertiga MPV features Maruti’s new 1.5-litre K-15 Series petrol engine. The new gasoline motor generates 105 horsepower and 138 Newton meters of torque. Both a five-speed manual and an optional four-speed torque-converter automatic transmission can be found attached to it.
You can also have a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel in the new Ertiga. All other Maruti cars sold in India feature the same design. The diesel engine produces 90 horsepower and 200 Newton meters of torque and is paired exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission is unavailable.
The SHVS hybrid technology found in both engines allows for superior performance. Mild-hybrid technology also aids in increasing the efficiency of the motors.

When compared to its predecessor, the new Maruti Ertiga is loaded with improvements and upgrades. New features on the 2019 Maruti Ertiga include a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a two-tone interior with wood inserts, air conditioning vents on the roof for the second and third rows, and controls on the steering wheel.
The 2017 Maruti Ertiga has a variety of safety features including dual airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), a rearview camera, a seatbelt reminder system, and ISOFIX anchors for child seats.
