Ford Transit Custom Campervan Raised 80mm: Off-Road Adventure Beast Unleashed!
Loder1899 a German tuning company, has taken the Ford Transit Custom to new heights, quite literally – raising it by 80mm. The Ford Transit Custom has long been a favorite for campervan conversions, and even Ford itself offers a camper version known as the Transit Custom Nugget. However, this latest concept from Loder1899 takes the Transit Custom to a whole new level, one that seems ready to tackle the most challenging terrains and situations.
This heavily modified Transit Custom is equipped for off-road adventures. It boasts a lift kit that raises it 80mm higher than the stock model, along with sturdy 18-inch rims and chunky 255/55 R18 tires. To accommodate the wider tires, the vehicle features large plastic wheel arch extensions.
The front end of the Transit Custom has been beefed up with a crash bar for added protection, and it’s equipped with two high-performance PIAA headlights for excellent visibility. If you need even more lighting for your trail or campsite, the roof rack is fitted with eight additional spotlights. This roof rack is not just for show; it carries essential expedition gear like an expandable roof-mount tent, jerrycan, and storage boxes. In case of emergencies, there’s a full spare wheel, shovel, and ramps to help you get back on the road.
While this Apocalypse-ready Transit Custom is currently a concept, there are plans for a production version as part of Loder1899’s brand revival in 2024. This move makes sense given that Loder1899’s parent company, delta4x4, specializes in producing off-road parts and accessories for various vehicles, including the Ford Ranger, Jeep Wrangler, Suzuki Jimny, and Tesla Model Y.
Loder1899 is known in recent years for its tuned versions of Aston Martins, Fords, Jaguars, and Land Rovers, and is also working on a more street-focused version of the Transit Custom. This variant will feature a sleek body kit, a lower ride, and stylish 20-inch wheels.
