Nissan Magnite: AMT and Kuro variants launched, prices start at Rs 6.49 lakh
Nissan Motor India has introduced two new models, the Magnite Kuro Edition and the Magnite EZ-Shift AMT, to the Indian market. The Magnite Kuro Edition is available at a starting price of Rs 8.27 lakh, going up to Rs 10.46 lakh. On the other hand, the new Magnite EZ-Shift AMT models start at Rs 6.5 lakh. Bookings for both models are now open.

Regarding the launch of the Magnite EZ-Shift model, Srivastava added, “Nissan Magnite has been a game-changer, setting new standards with its strong value proposition, top-notch safety ratings, and affordability. The Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift, introduced at a highly competitive introductory price, redefines boundaries as the most accessible affordable AMT in SUV, sedan, and hatchback categories. It is a game-changer in providing convenient and exciting driving experiences for a broader range of customer preferences.”

Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition Pricing
Nissan has introduced the new Magnite Kuro Edition with all the top-spec trims of its model lineup. The Magnite Kuro Edition is available with the XV MT naturally aspirated engine, priced at Rs 8.27 lakh, which represents a premium of over Rs 46,000 compared to the standard model. The XV Turbo MT variant, equipped with a turbocharged engine, is priced at Rs 9.65 lakh, also commanding a premium of over Rs 46,000. Additionally, the Kuro Edition model is offered with the XV Turbo CVT variant, priced at Rs 10.46 lakh, with the same premium of Rs 46,000.
Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition: Details
The new Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition introduces several striking changes to its exterior and interior. Notably, it offers an all-black color option for the exterior, creating a sleek and stylish appearance. This black theme extends to various elements of the car, including the grille, ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors), front and rear skid plates.
Moreover, the Magnite Kuro Edition boasts smoked LED headlamps, black alloy wheels with eye-catching red brake calipers, and features a distinctive Kuro badging positioned under the ORVMs.
Inside the cabin, the Magnite Kuro Edition continues the all-black theme but enhances it with subtle refinements. The interior instrument panel now features a patterned film and a gloss black end finisher. Black interior accents and black door trim inserts further enhance the cohesive design.
In terms of features and upgrades, the Magnite Kuro Edition impresses with its new 360-degree Around View Monitor (AVM), providing enhanced visibility and safety. Other additions include a center console armrest with rear AC vents, KURO-themed floor mats, a convenient wireless charger, and a wider interior rear-view mirror (IRVM). These changes not only elevate the aesthetics but also enhance the overall comfort and functionality of the Magnite Kuro Edition.
Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition: Powertrain
In terms of powertrains, the new Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition retains the existing engine options. These choices include:
- 1-litre Naturally Aspirated Petrol Engine: This engine generates 72PS of power and 96 Nm of torque.
- 1-litre Turbo-Petrol Engine: This turbocharged petrol engine delivers approximately 100PS of power and 160 Nm of torque.
Regarding transmission, the turbo-petrol engine offers two options: a 5-speed manual transmission and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). In contrast, the naturally aspirated engine is available solely with a 5-speed manual transmission. These powertrain choices provide a range of driving experiences to suit different preferences and needs.
Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift AMT
In addition to the Kuro Edition, Nissan has introduced the all-new Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift AMT model. This model will be offered in four different variants: XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium, including the newly launched Kuro Special Edition.
The new Magnite equipped with the EZ-Shift AMT transmission will be exclusively paired with the 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 71bhp and torque of 96 Nm. According to the company, the new Magnite EZ-Shift model is expected to achieve an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.70 kmpl.
