Luxury Cars for Sale: Convicted YouTuber’s Collection Must Go
Apple Auctioneering Co. has launched an online auction featuring 32 vehicles in Baltimore, Maryland, with a unique twist: these cars were previously owned by Omi in a Hellcat, a YouTuber boasting over 800,000 subscribers, and they were confiscated following his fraud conviction earlier this year.
In collaboration with the US Marshals Service, these 32 vehicles are now up for online auction until October 13, 2023. Subsequently, a live auction will take place, and the base price will depend on the highest online bids.
Among the standout vehicles on the auction block, the Lamborghini Aventador adorned with a Power Rangers theme stands out, currently commanding a bid of $380,000. The lineup also includes various sports cars like the Toyota Supra, Acura NSX, and an FK-generation Honda Civic Type R.
Beyond the Aventador, the collection comprises a diverse range of vehicles, spanning vans, trucks, and high-performance models, mostly finished in white or gray. Notably, the Lamborghinis, including two Huracans and one Urus, are the most coveted cars among the 32 seized vehicles.
Additionally, the auction features other enticing automobiles, such as a remarkably well-preserved 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS, a sedan from the ’90s that’s highly sought-after, especially one with just 12 miles on the odometer. There’s also a Backdraft Roadster, a custom Shelby Cobra replica, and a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

Bill Omar Carrasquillo, a 36-year-old resident of New Jersey, was the mastermind behind the popular YouTube channel “Omi in a Hellcat.” However, his YouTube success was marred by a legal saga that resulted in his sentencing.
Carrasquillo was handed a 66-month prison sentence, coupled with five years of supervised release. He was also ordered to forfeit over $30 million and pay more than $15 million in restitution. The Department of Justice published details of the case on March 8, 2023.
Carrasquillo faced a litany of charges, including conspiracy, violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, access device fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, false statements to financial institutions and law enforcement, tax evasion, and more.
The $30 million he amassed through his unlawful copyright infringement operation was used to acquire multiple properties and a fleet of high-end vehicles. In an attempt to shield these assets from authorities, he resorted to making false statements and concealing some of his holdings. However, this strategy ultimately proved unsuccessful.
