BMW X6 facelift
BMW X6 facelift: The updated 2023 BMW X6 has been introduced alongside the refreshed X5, and it now comes standard with the M Sport option. To coincide with the 2023 refresh, BMW is offering not one, but three distinct X6 models: the X6 xDrive40i, X6 M60i xDrive, and the X6 xDrive30d.
The M Sport package for the 2023 BMW X6 update includes the following: M exterior mirror caps in Black high-gloss; exhaust system tailpipe trim in the signature M quad-pipe style; and a rear spoiler in Black high-gloss; all of which are standard equipment.
The X6 now comes in over forty distinct BMW Individual paint jobs, including the brand-new Blue Ridge Mountain metallic, Brooklyn grey metallic, Skyscraper grey metallic, Frozen pure grey metallic, and more. The new M Isle of Man Green Metallic paint job is reserved for the top-of-the-line X6 M60i xDrive.
Each model’s powertrain is now electrified by 48V mild hybrid technology paired with a variety of internal combustion engines (ICE). The MHEV powertrain in the X6 xDrive40i is based on a 3.0 litre turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, the latest model of which generates a total of 380 horsepower and 520 Newton-meters of torque.
The new 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 engine in the X6 M60i xDrive, in conjunction with the MHEV system, generates 530 horsepower and 750 Nm. The MHEV drivetrain in the X6 xDrive30d is centred around a 3.0-liter inline-6 turbodiesel engine that generates 298 horsepower and 670 Nm. The X6 performance model can complete the quarter-mile in 4.3 seconds.
Each drivetrain is matched with a Steptronic transmission that features eight gears. The same electric motor provides a boost of up to 9 kW/12 hp and 200 Nm of torque for all of them, allowing the combustion engine to produce a smooth, dynamic drive while maintaining excellent efficiency.
The X6’s interior comes standard with a leather-like Sensafin instrument panel surface and a fine wood trim piece with a curved design. The ambient light strip below the front passenger trim is also new, and it uses LED backlighting to create a soothing atmosphere.
To replace the usual sport seats with Sensafin surfaces, you can get comfort seats for the driver and front passenger. In addition, BMW offers optional Merino leather upholstery in two different lengths, full Merino leather upholstery, active seat ventilation, and a massage feature.
The newest generation of BMW’s iDrive control/operating system is integrated into the X6, as it is in all new BMWs. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch head unit sit atop the dashboard.
The Sky Lounge panoramic glass sunroof illuminated by LED units, glass applications for selected controls, the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System, and the newly fashioned Travel & Comfort System are just a few of the highlights of the extensive range of available choices.
