Toyota Innova Zenix: Get a First Look at the Price and Eye-Catching Exterior Design

What is it?

Toyota has revealed the next-generation Innova after years of teasers, spy photos, and rumours about the company’s upcoming premium minivan. After making its debut in Indonesia as the Innova Zenix, the popular model is scheduled to make its debut in India later this week, but under a different moniker. The Innova Hycross is its official name, and here you’ll find every specification for it.

Toyota Innova Zenix Price

This model comes at a starting price of Rs 21,84,941.

How is it on the outside?

To begin, the Hycross appears to be a genuine crossover. Taking a look at the photographs, it appears to have a very tall bonnet and sits high off the ground. The bumper and LED headlights specifically harken back to the Fortuner’s front look. Some Innova lovers could like it because it doesn’t share the characteristics of other MPVs. The Innova Zenix for the Indian market will look identical, however we do wish Toyota India provided more colour options than just black and silver.

The length of the new model is 4.75 metres, the width is 1.85 metres, and the height is almost 1.8 metres. Meanwhile, 185mm of clearance is provided from the ground. When compared to previous models, the wheelbase has grown by up to 100mm, making it 2.85m in length.

How is it on the inside?

Its interior is as vast an improvement over the Innova Crysta as its exterior is. The two-tone interior gives the impression of being both more modern and more durable than the current model’s. The dashboard has a vertically stacked centre console that features a 10-inch screen and the most up-to-date connectivity options. Toyota claims the interior features soft-touch materials throughout. The dual screen entertainment system, which includes 10-inch displays at the back of the front seats, is a popular feature in the rear. These will most likely be available as dealer add-ons for the India-bound version of the car.

What’s on the feature list?

Compared to its competitors, the Innova Crysta is lacking in some key features, but the forthcoming Hycross is set to change all of that. There will be a variety of price points available, with the top tier offering features like a digital instrument cluster, a massive panoramic sunroof, an electronic parking brake, a wireless charging pad, leather seats, paddle shifters, and ambient lighting. Also included on the Indonesian-market Zenix are a 360-degree camera view, blind-spot monitoring, and advanced driver-assistance features; we’d love to see these made available on the Hycross for India.

What’s under the hood?

Both a gas and a powerful hybrid version of the Innova are offered in Indonesia. The former is equipped with a CVT transmission and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing about 175 hp and 200 Nm of torque. We can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the powerful hybrid variant. A total of 186 horsepower can be generated from the combination of the engine’s 152 horsepower and 187 Newton-meters of torque and the electric motor attached to it.

What about pricing and rivals?

Prices for the larger and more luxurious Innova Hycross will likely range from Rs 24 to Rs 30 lakh, as it will be positioned above the petrol versions of the Innova Crysta. Competitors include the Mahindra XUV700 petrol, the Hyundai Tucson petrol, and even the likes of the Skoda Kodiaq.
