Kia Ev6 Facelift
Kia’s EV6 has been on sale since the beginning of the year, and the company is already working on a customer survey to figure out how to improve the vehicle in preparation for a future refresh.
They have sold 12,568 units of the Kia EV6 so far this year, with a goal of selling 2,567 more in the month of June.
Many of you know that as soon as a new Kia model hits the market and customers begin purchasing it, the automaker immediately begins testing new ways to promote itself to existing and potential buyers.
Kia just posted a survey asking current EV6 owners what they’d like to see updated in the upcoming EV6 facelift.
Aesthetic design enhancements suggested in the survey included the option of a Limited Version set of black and gold wheels (not quite the Nightfall edition), which, as you can see in the accompanying image, looks extremely promising.
The feasibility of a full self-driving option for $7,500 was also questioned. If Wind consumers were willing to spend more, they could get a sunroof, which is now unavailable.
Another question I found intriguing was whether you would go with the Wind or the GT-Line if Kia were to only offer one.
We haven’t seen a survey like this sent to Kia EV6 owners before, and we doubt it will be the last. Is this survey for the updated Kia EV6 worth your time? Which of these best describes your thoughts and opinions?
Putting ourselves in Kia’s shoes, it’s hard to imagine how the 2023 edition of the Kia EV6 could be improved upon, as it is already widely regarded as one of the best electric cars to hit the market in recent months, having won the award for “Car of the Year 2022,” and having been tested by us for several months.
Korean Car Blog claims that the firm has sent out a questionnaire to its customers in an effort to learn how the EV6 may be improved. The questionnaire has not been made public, but the company has also not denied its existence.
There is discussion of an autonomous driving option, with Kia EV6 buyers being polled on whether they think the system’s estimated $7,500 price tag is fair. This helps Tesla gauge whether or not buyers are interested in the features it touts but which are only available on a tiny fraction of its vehicles. Tesla’s current prices for Full Self-Driving are $12,000. and the upgraded Autopilot is $6,000.
To date, Kia has not introduced any commercially available autonomous driving solutions beyond the traditional level 2 solutions that combine Adaptive Cruise Control and lane maintenance: in this case, the car does not permit you to take your hands off the steering wheel (it begins to beep after a few seconds with the steering wheel left free) nor use the system in urban areas.
Also, Kia polled its consumers to see whether they’d be interested in a special edition modelone Black Edition with gold wheels; the image we’re showing you isn’t particularly striking, but the black-and-gold combination is universally admired on automobiles, and we agree.
One of the most intriguing questions is given at the very end of the survey, and it has to do with the idea of consolidating the EV6 portfolio into a single set-up type. Specifically, the client is asked whether he or she would rather have the Wind set-up or the GT-Line set-up.
