Maruti Baleno Features
New to the second-generation Baleno is a body panel featuring a chrome appliqué that goes along with the grille and is noticeably wider. The bottom bumper has been redesigned to have more shaping and brand new LED fog lights. The Nexa brand’s new Daytime Running Lamp trademark—consisting of three blocks—is reflected in the design of the new LED headlamps.
The major plastics in the new dashboard design are blue and dark grey, with glossy light grey and piano black accents. The revised Baleno has a sportier flat-bottom steering wheel and simple-to-read gauges inside. The new 9.0 inch touchscreen is conveniently placed against the solid top of the binnacle. The new toggle-style air conditioning controls are adequately dampened and lighted, and the leatherette on the steering wheel has a lovely softness to it. For stopping power, the Maruti Baleno’s front disc brakes are an inch larger at 14 inches and there are six airbags standard on the top two trims. Additionally, all AMT models come with electronic stability control (ESC) with hill-hold as standard equipment.

The new Baleno is powered by a K12N engine that eliminates the mild-hybrid system while retaining the other features and outputs of the K12C engine. In order to comply with the forthcoming CAFE 2 regulations, the CVT automatic transmission has been replaced with a five-speed AMT. In addition to reducing emissions, it increases fuel efficiency by 22.94kpl.
