3 Upcoming Toyota Cars Ready to Launch – MPVs, CNG SUV

The Indian branch of the Japanese automaker, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, is preparing to release three new models to the public. While the new Innova Crysta is scheduled sometime in early 2023, the Toyota Hyryder CNG and Innova Hycross will be available for purchase in the next weeks. Get to know the upcoming Toyota vehicles better with this rundown of their most salient features.

TOYOTA INNOVA HYCROSS

The Toyota Innova Hycross will be available in five different trim levels: G, GX, VX, ZX, and ZX (O). Prices are not yet known, but they are projected to range from Rs 22 lakh to Rs 30 lakh, with the information being released during the 2023 Auto Expo. The MPV will provide a choice between a 2.0-liter petrol-powered hybrid and a 2.0-liter normally aspirated petrol engine (172 horsepower / 205 Nm) (186bhp with e-Drive transmission). Its powerful hybrid iteration is said to provide 21.1kmpl in fuel economy. New Toyota minivan can reach 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. The manufacturer has packed the new hybrid MPV with cutting-edge features.

TOYOTA HYRYDER CNG

The Toyota Hyryder CNG SUV has officially begun taking reservations for the low, low price of Rs 25,000. Powered by a 1.5-liter Maruti-supplied normally aspirated gasoline engine, the model will also be offered with a compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion kit. Both the Ertiga and XL6 CNG use the same basic engine and transmission configuration. This motor’s maximum output in CNG mode is 88 horsepower, and its maximum torque is 121.5 Nm. This vehicle achieves an EPA-estimated 26.10km/kg of fuel economy when equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. There will be a mid-range S and G trim level for the Hyryder CNG.

TOYOTA INNOVA CRYSTA FACELIFT

Popular minivan Innova Crysta will get an upgrade sometime in 2019. Supposedly, the new 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta refresh will feature a 2.7L, 4-cylinder petrol engine mated to a CNG kit installed at the factory. The CNG version will be available to both commercial fleets and individual buyers. The MPV is expected to receive minor exterior and interior upgrades in its revised iteration. The 2.4-liter diesel engine producing 148 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque will provide the necessary propulsion. A 5-speed manual transmission will take care of the transmission tasks.
