Toyota Mirai Price, Colors, Specs And Auto facts

The 2022 Mirai sedan, wearing one of Toyota’s most beautiful designs, appears to have rolled straight out of a future where boxy SUVs are so passé. Its flowing lines and upscale appearance draw attention away from its true showpiece, a hydrogen-powered propulsion system. The onboard electric motor provides the leisurely acceleration, but the Mirai is a zero-emission option that allows drivers to refuel in minutes rather than hours at an EV charger. The interior is posh, the ride is forgiving, and the handling is unexpectedly lively, but the Mirai can’t travel too far from hydrogen fueling stations. As a result, the Mirai, like its main rival, the Hyundai Nexo, is currently only available in California.

Toyota Mirai Pricing

The cheapest 2022 Mirai is the XLE trim, which has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $49,500 plus destination charges. The Limited trim level starts at $66,000. This more expensive version can cost up to $67,545 with optional 20-inch wheels and premium paint.

Things improve from here. Toyota offers up to $15,000 in free hydrogen. A fuel cell vehicle qualifies for an $8000 federal tax credit. Furthermore, the California Clean Vehicle Rebate is $4,500. When all costs are considered, owners can have a zero-emissions (no hydrocarbons or other harmful elements) almost-luxury car for around $25,000. Keep in mind that the XLE trim is the most fuel-efficient and will cost less to operate than the Limited model.

The Hyundai Nexo is the only other fuel-cell vehicle available in 2022. Honda has ceased production of its Clarity FCEV. The Nexo is a smaller crossover, with prices starting around $60,000, but it is also eligible for the same federal and state incentives.

The price of the 5-seater Sedan in India has yet to be announced. Toyota, on the other hand, set the price of the Single-Speed automatic car at USD 66,000, which roughly translates to Rs 50,00,000. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is currently conducting a pilot project with ICAT to study the FCEV Toyota Mirai’s operation on Indian roads and climatic conditions.
