Top 3 Upcoming Maruti Nexa Cars In 2023

In 2019, Nexa plans to release three vehicles in India, including a crossover to compete with the Mahindra Thar and the subcompact Maruti Jimny.
Maruti Suzuki will soon release as many as three new Nexa cars in the Indian market. These will include a C-MPV based on the Jimny and an SUV based on the Grand Vitara.

1. Maruti Baleno-Based YTB Crossover

The YTB Crossover will make its debut in the early 2020s, having been previewed at the Auto Expo 2020. It will be based on the same platform as the Baleno and feature the same range of engine options. However, a 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is anticipated to be available in higher trim levels from the brand.

This turbocharged engine made its debut in the Baleno RS in India, where it produces 100 horsepower and 150 Newton-meters of torque at its peak. It will go up against the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Punch, and Citreon C3 once it hits the market.

2. Maruti Jimny 5-Door

The Jimny 5-door, along with the similarly anticipated Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha, is one of the most anticipated forthcoming SUVs in India. Prices for the 5-door Jimny, which will be marketed through the Nexa dealership network, are expected to range from Rs 10-12 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Jimny will be powered by a 1.5-liter K15C NA gasoline engine, capable of producing 101 horsepower and 137 Newton-meters of torque at its peak. There will be a choice of a 6-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission paired with this engine.

3. Maruti C-MPV

Maruti plans to introduce a new 3-row C-MPV based on the Toyota Innova Hycross sometime in the second half of 2023, following closely on the heels of the Hycross’s introduction to the market. The MPV will use the same engine options as Toyota’s TNGA-C FWD platform minivan. You’ll be able to choose from a variety of convenient amenities like power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, and more in its plush and stylish three-row cabin. When it hits the market, it will go up against the likes of the Innova Hycross, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, etc.
