PMV Electric, an Indian startup, has released the Eas-E, an electric four-wheeler, for the price of Rs 4.79 lakh. It’s significantly less expensive than the Tata Tiago EV, which it replaced as the least expensive EV in India. The introductory Rs 2,000 price is good for the first 10,000 buyers of the two-seater EV that is currently available for bookings. Six thousand EVs have been pre-ordered from PMV. The prices of the remaining variations will be published at a later date.

In Delhi, PMV EaS E can be purchased for as little as Rs. 4.79 Lakh (which is about $6,500). There is only one flavor of EaS E, and it runs on electricity. Ex-showroom price + RTO fees + insurance & other costs for each EaS E model are also provided. For PMV’s EaS E base variant price, monthly EMI calculations come to Rs. 9,160 at 10%. There are several alternatives to EaS E available for the same price range, including the Maruti Suzuki Swift (at Rs. 5.91 Lakh) and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno (at Rs. 6.49 Lakh).

The PMV Eas-E EV’s powertrain utilises a 48-V lithium iron phosphate battery, with a number of configurations available. Depending on which model is purchased, the range can be anywhere from 120km to 160km to 200km. The battery capacity is unknown, but it will power an electric motor with 13.5PS and 50Nm of torque. It can reach speeds of up to 70 kph. Using a 15A wall outlet, its battery can be recharged in under four hours.

PMV EaS E Features
Among the available amenities are a Bluetooth-enabled infotainment screen, a digital driver display, air conditioning, power windows, on-board connectivity features, and a multi-function steering wheel. This suite of connected car technologies includes remote parking control, which can be used with a smartphone app to perform either forward or reverse parking maneuvers. There is an airbag for the driver, as well as seatbelts and a backup camera.
