Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG

Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG Launch Soon

In June of 2020, Maruti Suzuki introduced the 2022 Brezza as a new subcompact SUV. Now, just five months later, the company is releasing a compressed natural gas (CNG) version of the vehicle. Maruti Suzuki is expected to release the pricing information for the 2022 Brezza CNG in the next few days, as the vehicle has now arrived at dealerships.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a top-seller in India’s B2 SUV market. To meet BS6 pollution standards, Maruti Suzuki pulled the plug on the Brezza’s diesel models, and the car hasn’t been able to win over price-conscious buyers ever since. Maruti Suzuki hopes to reclaim market share lost to diesel-powered vehicles like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300 with the release of the Brezza CNG.

We anticipate that the CNG powertrain found in the Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG, which is propelled by a 1.5L normally aspirated petrol engine without a mild-hybrid system, will also be found in the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Upcoming models of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG and the Maruti Nexa Grand Vitara CNG will both utilise this engine.

Both the VXI and ZXI trim levels will be available for the Brezza CNG, both from Maruti Suzuki. Electric sunroof, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, rear parking camera, rear AC vents, Arkamys sound system, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start-stop, and 16-inch alloy wheels are available on the ZXI trim level of the new Brezza. Notably, the ZXI trim level of the Brezza does not include the segment-typical front center armrest.

Compared to the gasoline models, we anticipate an Rs. 95,000 pricing hike for the Brezza CNG from Maruti Suzuki. It will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Honda WR-V in the subcompact SUV market. At its release, the Brezza will be the only B2-segment SUV to offer a factory-installed compressed natural gas (CNG) option. But in a matter of months, both Kia and Tata Motors will introduce their respective Sonet CNG and Nexon CNG models.
