Tata Motors is having its most prosperous year ever, and the firm is responding by releasing a number of innovative new vehicle designs in India. These include the Altroz EV, Harrier, Sierra, Curvv, and Avinya.
Since its inception in 1945, Indian automaker Tata Motors has been among the country’s most successful and well-known. In 1988, the firm introduced two new passenger cars—the TataMobile and the Sierra—as part of its expansion into the automotive industry. In 1998, the company introduced India’s first locally produced car, the Indica, and has since experienced tremendous success. As a result of working together with the British automaker Jaguar Land Rover, the company also unveiled its l Impact Design language. The design ethos behind the latest iterations of the line is to produce pieces that exude confidence and vitality while still looking fresh and modern. This philosophy ensures that the car will have distinctive features, aerodynamic fluidity, and cutting-edge styling.
Tata Cars: Design Defines the Success of the Car
Tata has also developed several novel ideas for today’s technologically advanced automobiles. Tata Motors’ offerings have undergone significant evolution in recent years. The corporation owes a great deal to the work of the UK-based design studio led by Martin Uhlarik, CDO, Tata Motors.
The exterior is classified as “Exciting,” “Expressive,” and “Extraordinary” in the updated Impact Design Philosophy of Tata Motors.

The exciting and powerful body-to-cabin proportions really make the car come alive with their wonderful sense of motion. The segment-leading wheel sizes and the muscular fender volumes, for example, will produce a resolute stance and a one-of-a-kind profile on the road.
The cars’ futuristic appearance is a result of their expressive surfaces. Examples include a grille that flows into the lamps that accentuate the car’s width, all supported by the instantly recognisable and more three-dimensional Humanity Line; a slingshot line that creates motion and energy, which will be emphasised by a diamond-shaped window in the side view; and so on.
The India-Global Design will be strengthened and reflected in the extraordinary attention to detail. For instance, the Tri-Arrow design will make its debut on new Tata vehicles.
To that end, the Tata brand defines “Inviting,” “Intelligent,” and “Intouch” as the defining characteristics of its vehicles’ interiors.
The decor is lovely and sophisticated, making guests feel at home. It strikes a nice middle ground between catering to the customer’s needs and having an appealing visual appeal that piques curiosity.
Ingenious storage and accessory options empower the customer to intelligently configure and shape their driving environment, while also bolstering the perception of tactile quality achieved through the use of intelligent material choices and clever colour combinations.

Tata Motor’s Engine
The company still uses engines from FAC/Stellantis for its larger vehicles, but it has developed two innovative products for its more affordable vehicles. The Tigor, Tiago, Altroz, and Punch all feature the 1.2-liter Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine, which generates 84 bhp and 113 Nm in its naturally aspirated state. In addition, the Tata Altroz (108 bhp/140 Nm) and Nexon (118 bhp/170 Nm) both feature turbocharged versions of the same engine. The other option is a diesel engine with a 1,05-liter Revotorq displacement, which is optimised for low fuel consumption and smooth driving. The cutting-edge EMS also helps support the engine’s multi drive mode. This motor is the standard by which all others are measured due to its superior efficiency, power, and overall quality.
Some of Tata’s current models, including the Tigor, Altroz, and Tiago, will soon be available with a compressed natural gas (CNG) powertrain as an option. In addition, the company plans to release ten additional long-range EVs in the not-too-distant future, with the Altroz EV and an electric version of the Tata Punch among them.
Tata Cars Models and Starting Price
There are now 13 vehicles available from Tata, 4 of which are hatchbacks, 6 are SUVs, 2 are sedans, and 1 is a pickup truck. The most affordable Tata vehicle, the Tiago, can be purchased for Rs. 5.44 lakh (ex-showroom), while the most costly, the Nexon EV Max, costs Rs.18.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Cars Next Plan
Tata has been busy developing its next-generation product and incorporating cutting-edge innovations across the board. Between 2023 and 2024, the company plans to debut about six new vehicles. There in India. Alteroz EV (2023), Harrier (2023), Sierra (2023), Curvv (2024), and Avinya (2024) are all part of this lineup (2025).
