Most Affordable Honda Car in 2023
Car shoppers may be curious as to what the most affordable vehicle is from the Japanese manufacturer now that the Honda Fit has been out for a while. After all, for over a decade, shoppers on a tight budget found the Fit to be the perfect match. What is Honda’s most affordable vehicle for the 2023 model year now that the sporty little hatchback is gone?
Honda’s most affordable car should come as no surprise
Not surprisingly, now that the Honda Fit is out of the running, the 2023 Civic sedan is the least expensive Honda vehicle available. The 2023 Honda Civic’s base price of $24,650 is nearly $2,000 less than the price of the next-cheapest car, the Accord. The removal of the Civic LX trim level is the most notable modification for the 2023 model year.
At that price, the Civic Sport is the entry-level model. This sporty model is powered by a 2.0-liter motor producing 158 horsepower and paired with a CVT. It also has a sportier look from the outside than the higher trim. The 18-inch gloss black wheels, chrome exhaust finisher, gloss black side mirrors, and matte black upper window trim are the most striking exterior details.
Similarly sporty is the 2023 Civic Sport’s interior. Black is the only option for the interior, and it pairs well with the sport cloth upholstery on the seats. The Civic Sport is a steal with its leather-wrapped steering wheel, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and 180-watt sound system.

The next cheapest car provides a lot more room
If the Honda Civic’s interior is too cramped for your needs, the Accord is a good alternative. The good news is that the Accord is brand new for the 2023 model year, giving those interested a fresh start. Honda improved the midsize sedan by making it more stylish on the outside and more modern on the inside.
The fuel-efficient models have a dual-motor hybrid drivetrain and new standard driver safety aids. However, the gas-powered, turbocharged 1.5-liter mill that produces 192 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque will be standard equipment on the base 2023 Accord LX model. The 2023 version’s price has not been announced.
Although the 2022 Honda Accord has been removed from the official site, the base price of $26,520 is still listed. The 2018 Accord LX base model features the same specifications as the 2017 model but without the new styling or safety features.
The cheapest Honda model isn’t a car
Buyers looking for the cheapest model that Honda has in the lineup should look in the SUV and crossover section. The 2023 Honda HR-V is the entry-level option, priced at only $23,800. (before the destination charge). The base HR-V LX trim level can be had for that price, and it includes a 158-horsepower engine, the Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance features, and Apple Carplay compatibility.
The HR-V primarily comes in a front-drive configuration, but an all-wheel drive setup is available. Since we highly doubt Honda will release another Fit anytime soon, the legendary Civic is your best bet if you’re shopping for Honda’s least expensive vehicle.
