Tata Safari Rear Profile Revealed

2023 Tata Safari: Rear Profile Revealed with Connected Lights

Tata Motors is set to unveil a mid-life update for its popular mid-sized SUVs, the Harrier and the Safari, following the introduction of the new Nexon. The company has been releasing teasers highlighting the styling and interior details of these updated SUVs. The most recent teaser reveals the redesigned rear profile of the 2023 Tata Safari.

Like the front profile, which features a width-spanning LED DRL strip, the updated Safari’s rear profile boasts connected LED tail-lights with a welcome function. The SUV sports a revised tailgate to accommodate the newly styled tail-lamps. Tata Motors has also updated the rear bumper design, which now incorporates a more prominent silver skid plate and new trapezoidal housings on both sides.

While the company has not provided any details about the cabin of the new Harrier, previous spy images suggest that the 2023 Tata Safari will feature a restyled multi-layered dashboard dominated by a new free-standing touchscreen infotainment screen. It will also have a new center console layout with a touch panel for various controls, including the air conditioning system.

The 2023 Tata Safari will be equipped with a larger all-digital instrument console and a new 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. The SUV is expected to receive an updated version of the ADAS tech, potentially including features like lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

The Safari facelift will retain the existing 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 170PS and 350Nm of torque, with transmission options including a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. Additionally, it is expected to receive a new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, generating 170PS and 280Nm of torque.

Starting from October 6, 2023, interested buyers will be able to pre-book the new Safari and Harrier facelift online or at authorized dealerships. Pricing details for the new models are anticipated to be announced during the Navratri festival in the coming weeks.
