New Hyundai Santa Fe Takes Over the Road with Its Huge Presence

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has undergone a significant transformation, featuring sharper styling, increased interior space, and new tech features. Hyundai has been consistently working on refreshing the designs of its cars and SUVs, and the Santa Fe is the latest example of this effort. The SUV has been completely revamped both on the exteriors and interiors, giving it a refreshing and updated look. It is expected to be available for sale in international markets later this year.

Interestingly, test mules of the new Santa Fe have been spotted without any camouflage. Despite being photographed next to an extra-large dump truck, the new Santa Fe doesn’t appear to be dwarfed. Hyundai has already confirmed that the new Santa Fe will have a longer wheelbase, adding to its appeal and enhancing interior space. With its new design and improved features, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is set to make a strong impact in the SUV market.

New Hyundai Santa Fe features

Hyundai is currently in the process of implementing its new design philosophy, which is evident in the recently launched Exter micro-SUV in the Indian market. However, the new Santa Fe takes this design language to a whole new level, showcasing a broader canvas for the new design approach. As a result, the new Santa Fe has a much more striking street presence compared to the current model, which has a conventional curvy profile.

The new Santa Fe adopts a boxy and modern interpretation of old-school SUVs from the past, featuring sharp lines and futuristic elements. Key highlights include H pattern headlights and taillights, a full-width LED strip at the front, hexagonal wheel arches, thick body cladding, sporty alloy wheels, roof rails, and an almost 90° straight tailgate. Notably, the SUV draws some design inspiration from the Land Rover Defender, evident from the body-colored shading on the rearmost window glass.

Inside, the new Santa Fe boasts a brand-new design that enhances versatility compared to the current model. It will feature a third row of seats, making it more accommodating for passengers. The second and third-row seats are designed to fold neatly to create a flat bed when needed. The cockpit area looks slick with dual 12.3-inch screens, a Nappa leather dashboard, and twin wireless charging pads. Additionally, the central control panel incorporates dials and physical buttons for easy access to various functions.

Overall, the new Hyundai Santa Fe exhibits a bold and forward-thinking design, setting it apart from the current model and aligning it with Hyundai’s new design direction.

New Hyundai Santa Fe performance

Hyundai has not yet officially disclosed the powertrain details for the new Santa Fe. However, the 2.5T badge suggests that the SUV will be equipped with a 2.5-liter turbo petrol engine. In the current model, this engine produces an impressive 277 hp of peak power and 421 Nm of maximum torque. It is worth noting that engine options may vary depending on the market. Additionally, similar to the current model, the new Santa Fe is expected to offer hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants.

In terms of safety features, the new Santa Fe is anticipated to come with an upgraded safety kit. This could include new ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features to enhance overall safety. The existing model already boasts a range of safety technologies, such as navigation-based smart cruise control, reverse parking collision avoidance assist, forward collision avoidance assist, blind spot view monitor, blind spot collision avoidance assist, highway driving assist, lane following assist, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist.

Hyundai is continuously working to enhance the Santa Fe’s safety suite, ensuring that the new model will be equipped with cutting-edge safety technologies to provide a secure and comfortable driving experience. However, further details about the new Santa Fe’s powertrain and safety features are yet to be officially revealed.
